We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners do not offer tools here for evaluating job applicants, rental applications, insurance rates, or credit. Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA
  • Set eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Evaluate credit or establish an insurance premium
  • Screen a prospective renter or housing applicant
  • Make a decision to hire or dismiss someone

A check needed for a regulated purpose must come through the Texas Department of Public Safety or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.
